Next Steps

During our inspection our appraisers will typically do the following:

• Conduct a room-by-room walk through of the property to be appraised.

• If the assignment is for a land appraisal the land will be viewed on site and from other various options.

• This inspection will take into account the condition/quality of construction of the building (no personal property will be viewed unless this is part of the scope of work)

• Typically, a sketch of the building will be conducted noting the placement of certain areas in the home (bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining, living room etc.)

• An exterior inspection of the building and property will be completed as well.

Final Stage of the appraisal process

After the initial information on site is gathered the appraiser will return to the office and complete the off-site work up of the appraisal. Depending on the scope of work the appraisal will be completed within days or weeks of the initial inspection. During this time updates on the process will be provided to the client. At the end of the appraisal process, our clients have a document that provides the value of their asset and sound decision on their real estate transaction.
